Product usage data

Last updated October 17, 2026

This section adds to the Privacy Notice below. It describes what the Ambitious app records about how the product is used, and how we use it.

Bot usage reports

Bots created with the Ambitious Bot Factory can send us a usage report. A report contains:

  • the kind of bot, its template version and, for a specialist bot, its catalog template id (never a business name);
  • the reporting period;
  • activity counts, such as runs, questions asked, intakes, template matches, plans, bots created, update checks and tool errors;
  • up to ten short capability-gap summaries: the bot's own generic description of something users wanted that it could not do. Bots are instructed never to include names, contact details, customer or company details, links, quotes or pasted content, and our server masks email addresses, links, long numbers and @handles before storing a summary.

Stored reports contain no user id, organization id or organization name. Instead each report carries a one-way key derived from the organization id, which we use to count distinct organizations and to limit how many reports one organization can send. This makes reports pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous: someone who already knows an organization id could recompute its key. We join no other data to it. The bot tells its owner about usage reports on first run, shows what was stored, and stops sending them if the owner opts out.

Internal activity log

We keep an internal log of these product events:

  • template gallery searches: the search text and the templates that matched;
  • Bot Factory template matches: the search text, the matching templates and your organization's id;
  • Bot Factory intakes: the business name, industry and what the business makes, as entered during setup, and your organization's id.

The log and usage reports are stored in internal storage that no customer account can open; only our servers read them, for our internal admin console. They are not part of customer data exports. Records are kept per day and are not yet deleted automatically; to ask us to delete your organization's records, contact support@ambitiousbots.com.

How we use it

Ambitious learns from aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve its templates and bots. We look at totals, template versions in use, capability gaps grouped by kind and area, and common searches and searches with no match, to decide which templates and bots to add or fix. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
